The Welder:
B&W Photography Study

For my father's retirement after a 40-year career as a welder, I created a portrait series to honor his craft. The photos were shot in black and white to emphasize the artistry of welding and highlight the sparks in the images. By removing the distraction of background colors, the focus remained on the subject and the skill involved in his work. This approach aimed to capture the essence of my father's decades of dedication to his trade.
